Uhhhm??? I played Lufia II Rise of the Sinistrials on my Snes. So it had to be released in the USA. I never finished that game. I got totally engulfed in the random dungeon simulator. Spent hours in that thing. 99 floors, loose all exp, items, equipment, everything when you go on. Can't save at any time. It was quite a challenge.
Fun game, too.
