2)The quran can't be translated litterally from complex writings/poetry used. That is why all of them look exactly identical in Arabic, as its Gods true voice/message. Though it doesnt really say men can do what they wish with their women, but does mention that both men and women have different roles, not as a bad thing either just states how were made differently. I know alot of things sound weird when taking out of context.
