What Sony should've done at the start of PS3; 1 SKU, multiple HDDs

I think it was very crucial for Sony this Christmas to have a $399 PS3. IMO, It helped them sell a lot and if the original 60GB Playstation was the only one, I doubt it would drop enough in price to match the 40GB for Christmas.
