I'd still prefer to turn off in game notifications, though.  I tend to play more SP than MP and I find the notifications quite jarring from an immersion point of view.

Until you can do that Ebert is right, games can't be art because art doesn't ping you in the middle of the film to let you know you've finished the first scene.

You can turn off notifications for the 360 so I'm pretty sure you should be able to turn off notifications for the PS3 too?


I'm not sure you can, actually.  I'll have to look through the system options again.  I seem to remember Quantic Dream had to get special permission to have code in Heavy Rain that surpressed them appearing until the end of a chapter to prevent them breaking imerssion during the game.
