so i finally got out to a store, target specifically in chicago.  i was kind of surprised but they had 3 kinect sensors, 1 arcade bundle and 1 250 Gb bundle out which made up the entire area target devoted to kinect.  i guess i was expecting by now things to be sold out.  i didn't ask about how many they had or if they had any more in back.

software wise, most games had about the same amount on stock as any other game target typically carries.  BUT...dance central and kinect sports were both sold out.  seems odd to me they could sell out on software before hardware.  to me that means they have quite a bit more hardware shipped but that's just a guess.

anyways, that's my anecdotal evidence.

Typically retail stores get shipments twice a week, usually Tuesday and Saturday.  So it could be that they just got a shipment yesterday and haven't re-sold out yet.

I have a similar mixed experience.  The Best Buy that usually has oodles and oodles of systems of every kind was sold out of Kinect Sensors but had plenty of bundles still left.  The GameStop I went to was sold out of sensors but had a few bundles left. The Walmart I went to yesterday, on the other hand, had 6 Kinect Sensors left and only a few bundles.  So perhaps some stores are selling way more bundles, which is a great thing, and some are selling more sensors, which is also good to see the existing userbase purchasing it.
