I really enjoyed Alan Wake and hope it gains more sales and the recognition it deserves. But it could definately do with some improvements. I would say on the gamplay front-
Ditch the light v darkness theme on the story front. That's far too unoriginal and cheesy.
Need to be able to run for longer.
The duck and avoid attack button needs to change.
Introduce hand to hand combat inc melee weapons.
More driving.
Add a more exploration element. Maybe some decent climbing and accurate platforming.
Now on the technical front-
Up the res to 720p if possible. I like the graphics but 540p is low.
Reduce or preferebly eliminate the screen tear. I know it's to keep the framerate @ 30fps but the screen tear is embarrassing since it's only 540p and no one likes it.
Improve the collision detection. I died a few times due to some minor but annoying glitches.
Alan Wake 2 could become really really good if the flaws are ironed out.
