Also, for what it's worth.
There is a difference between Racism and being Predjudice.
Believe it or not... everyone in the world is naturally Predjudiced against people not like them.
However, it's only racist when you act out on these things.
In general, you are going to assosiate things like you as "good" and things not like you as "bad" because our brains don't have enough time and energy to process every single thing in our enviroments at full power with full thought. So at the very base earliest impressions "Unlike you = bad" "Like you = Good." Some people call this tribalism.
Hence the importance of getting to know people of different races even if you don't want to activly be racist or predjudice. That way when you meet people of another race, your positive thoughts about a friend or collegage you know of that race will supercede any original negative connotations.
Additionally there are social consturcts that must be avoided... for example say you live in a predominatly white culture... if you are given 2 faces, one of white and one of say an Middleastern man...
Then you are told to quickly assign words to the people with the words being stuff like
Good
Bad
Honest
Thieving
Untrustworthy
Awesome
You are overwhelmingly more likely to assign such traits to the white person. Even if your arab. So in a way socialization overrites some innate tribalism.
Predjudices may never be erased, even when in the future we are just one mulitcultural race... there will be other dividers chosen for a brain to work less.
What CAN be stopped though is racist actions.
