3DS to make portable movies on gaming device where PSP failed?

When I am on the public transit, I do see a lot of people watching movies on their phones, etc. So, there has to be a market for it.

I did think UMD movies had a chance but it failed mainly because it's just much easier to watch movies on other handheld devices.
