6 hours of new gameplay? Feck off EA, way to stab everybody who's followed this series for the last 3 years in the back.

I doubt any new material will remain exclusive.  Look at it from EA's point of view for a second.  They buy Bioware and they have this great new franchise that has done well on PC/360 and they want to bring to PS3.  Problem is they can't bring part 1 of the franchise and they're going to have to release part 2 on PS3 way late.

So, they clearly need incentives to get enough PS3 sales to (a'la when Bioshock hit late on PS3) to build the base for Mass Effect 3 being multiplatform from launch (which I'm sure it will be now) to see even better sales for the franchise on PS3.

So that means existing DLC for free to sweeten the deal plus some new stuff - at least initially - hence the new missions (assuming this rumour is true).

However, I'd be hugely suprised if within 6 months or so any new content didn't hit the PC/PS3.  Obviously it might not but it seems likely.

I play Mass Effect on PC and would want any new stuff just as much - but you've gotta see it from EA's perspective.  Also, nothing in the PS3 release affects the enjoyment I've had with the series on PC nor the fact I'll probably stick with it on PC for Mass Effect 3.

EA are just trying to make the franchise a success on another platform and I doubt they'll overly upset all the existing 360/PC players overmuch in the process.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
