Nintendo has created several hundred Pokémon along with about two hundred Fire Emblem characters. There's your slight exaggeration. 
Plus Midna was a better supporting character than those that made it on that cover. I like to correct you, because... well, someone has to do it.

I agree on Midna, but she still shouldn't make a top 30. Those 200 Fire Emblem characters shouldn't make a top 100 :P

I was going to say Toadette, Rosalina, The collective casts of Advance Wars titles, Fire Emblem titles, Pikmin 1 and 2, Paper Mario titles, Mario & Luigi Titles, Bowser Jr., Zant, Tetra, and Byrne all came to mind.
