I see your point. The Kinect has basically followed the that the Wii and other motion control hardware have laid out.

We can only hope that the Kinect has the potential to break the mold. If successful and given time I think it definitely has the potential. MS is definitely putting a lot in to this and many developers are following suit. Theyre starting with what they know and will work from there.

It would I guess have been a miracle if any launch titles were that revolutionary - although Dance Central does take the established dance game concept a bit further - so I don't want to sound too negative.

I'm just hoping that we don't see a re-run of the last 3 to 4 years of Wii gaming genres rapidly following on Move/Kinect.  Clearly it makes sense to follow in proven genres - so I don't blame MS and Sony for getting out fittness, dance, sports titles first.  But I do hope that once the dust has settled on the launch, we get some more interesting stuff - both in full motion control titles and with augmented titles.

I'm not negative to motion controls at all - I have a Wii / Move and am interested in Kinect - but I don't want to end up with three systems with three sets of similar titles!

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
