It's not at all "pathetic" it's the realization that Google owns the market and unless you've got something to make people at least look at your engine you'll just be wasting your time.

Oh, I have nothing against Microsoft. I use Windows XP and Windows 7 and love both, I think Microsoft Office is better than any other office suite, and I am a fan of the 360; I just don't own one.
I also acknowledge that Bing is complete crap which lacks half the functionality and all of the finesse of G

Bing works fine for me, I use it over google all the time; curious on what functionality and finesse it lacks as a serach engine. Nothing pathetic about the rewards. Offer something the competitors don't and try to take some of their business. Plus I get it all free.
This has been going on since September; they usually have some searches for bonus points every week. Got over 1200pts from it so far.

I also use Bing and Google interchangebly. For me, I hardly see any difference in the search result. But I use Bing most of the time because I want to see the daily picture.
