In all seriousity Sony's mistake was assuming that the handheld market wanted a portable playstation. It's been shown that they don't, the playstation doesn't offer the types of games that most of the portable crowd plays. I think this is best shown by the fact that the best selling portable game of this generation is Nintendogs, followed by NSMB and Brain Training. Until Sony makes compelling pick up and play portable titles that are far more 'casual' in nature than what they traditionally offer they will not be able to conquer to handheld market. When people want to play some deep engrossing experience they generally will do it at home on a console or PC.
