well it the PS4 goes on sale in 2013, then taking inflation into account, a launch price of $599 equates to a near 20% price cut to the PS3's launch price.
So don't be surprised if the PS4 starts in the 499 to 599 vicinity. And the same will apply to Wii2 and Xbox whatever when they are released.
