An employee of BBC got suspended for preaching false death news of the Queen. But the people believe the freedom is given. Who follows blindly now?
This list can go on... But I don't want to compare Muslims with Christians because that is not the issue we are talking about. We are talking about Islam and Christianity. They both have similarities and differences. Let's take the similarities and keep aside the differences. |
When the subject is, "Islam and Christianty are almost the same!" and such an argument wants to be raised in a forum, expect people who disagree and show such to do such. Even if the religions aren't nearly the same as you like, it doesn't mean that Christians, Muslims, Atheists, and anyone else can't coexist in a modern society, and discuss the differences. As far as I see it, Islam undermines completely the heart and core of Christianity. Christianity is NOT about rules and laws. It is about love and Jesus. One has to consider what Paul wrote also on all things, in order to understand what is Christianity today. And I say this, because the word "Christianity" isn't found in the Bible anywhere. The word "Christian" is, but not "Christianity". If you want to discuss "Christianity", therefore, you need to discuss what it consists of today and the past, and the essential part of it is what Paul wrote.
So, I will say, you can't just discuss similarities, and keep aside the differences, particularly if you want to argue they are almost the say when they aren't.
Also, who bans the hijab in the United States? There may be a few places that it is banned, but it is not banned all over. As I see it, those who are trying to ban it, are doing an assault against Islam, and don't understand the first amendment and freedom of religion. Other nations don't have a constitution like the USA does, so they do things like this.
