You miss the point, understanding the sociological effects of people like Lady Gaga on society and Justin Bieber on teenage girls is an asset to any marketing major and those intrestead in the music industry. He chose Lady Gaga because she is relevent, which would probaby make the class more interesting than say, if he chose the beatles which most college students only appreciate from pure nostalgia.
