Hell, in many states it was still illegal for married couples to have oral sex in their own bedrooms until 2003. It's currently legal to be gay and in the military, but only if you live a lie. It's ridiculous. The whole country has a Constitution fetish, and nobody's even read it.
Well I look forward to seeing our new Republican overlords cut some spending. I'm really excited to see which part of the government they want to shrink or destroy first, or if they see this as a mandate from the people to filibuster 100% of the legislation instead of just 99% of it. |
Please tell me what piece of legislation this administration has passed that make bringing up the Emancipation Proclamation and Civil Rights Act a legitimate comparison. I'd love to know what we've "progressed" in. A higher deficit and higher unemployment? Ok, I take it back.
