We probabily think its a simple system of manufactuing the disks and using a supercomputer to burn data onto those disks in some type of assembly line. but it probabily a lot more complex than that. theres probabily quality control checks that have to taken at both ends of the production cycle, etc, i dunno much about it. but a few million is a LOT, so it might seem like small number, but it is a lot imo.

yeah quality control and all is done but they do it in big quantities
and sony being the maker of the format and having disc making plants of their own can do it pretty fast
i saw a show about blu-ray manufacturing process and it produced 250,000 blu-rays per day with all the quality checks.
now different plants have different capacities.this plant was in japan.

Oh yeah, dont get me wrong, i was just saying that its a lot more complecated than we think. but Sony are not going to miss Christmas, its going to be the two biggest retail weeks of the year, its madness to miss that for a flagship title!
