well, yeah, i m not fair with MS
but, really, the only thing that function (understand = big cash cow) is their "automatic" window7 update
they can thx god Gates secured the market so well 20 years ago ....
if u take away the "Window7 profit", then MS is really not that big
ALSO, for what I get, their 1/3 ratio profit/revenues is insanely HIGH

Why oh why did you even need to go there? If you took a look at the current sales data given out by both Sony and Microsoft, you would see that Microsofts EDD division (xbox 360 division) profited more than that of the entire Sony corporation.
So basically your entire post is a failure. /facepalm
Microsofts EDD division (xbox division) 382 million in profits. Sony's profits for the entire company 375 million......
Microsofts profit for the entire company was insane @ 5.41 billion.....

Yep, I have to agree there. I was thinking the same thing and would have said so had you not already done it. Anyway EDD was nearly 5* Sony networked which is what is really going to determine the level of investment within each division relatively. This is the reason why Sony is rumoured to be making a PSP phone based off Android platform whilst Microsoft is making a platform of its own, Windows Mobile 7.

come on. It is not like MS was THE operating system (software) distributor all over the planete while Sony has always been more dedicated to create hardware
