Same thing happened to me. I took a quick peek over at the Gaf Reach thread earlier and saw people posting various issues with this too. I didn't really go all out to find an explanation because I realized this small amount or credits wasn't worth my efforts. I wondered though if there were problems because of the dashboard update but I don't know if one would affect the other like that.

If you did want the 3k, all you have to do is go here
http://www.bungie.net/Account/nameplates.aspx
and change your nameplate, the challenge should auto unlock.

Yeah, thanks. I was wondering about the nameplate thing and you just taught me hoe to change it.

I kept seeing people with ODST and things after their GT and now I know. I now have a Halo:CE nameplate(PC version).
