With all this story, I didn't said my situation and why I came up with this topic too:

I've done on paper and did some research on material to build it, asked for opinion with a friend of mine which has a Music Store, concluded that yes, its possible to build such a thing and I came up with a different type of musical instrument.

It doesn't use strings, wind, percussion or any other "classical"(?) method of input for musical instruments. Its just a new way to play music. Its something a little futuristic and plays in the same stance as a guitar.

I'm not willing to give details on that because, I don't know, I might have something big on my hands... or maybe not. And Copycats are everywhere.

I have it locked on my desk, waiting for an opportunity to build it alongside with someone that I can trust and be my partner on this.

Is it like a theremin? (you don't have to say if it is, you just really piqued my curiosity :D)

OT: If everything goes well, then I think I can. I have my career pretty well planned out, but I will need a LOT of luck for everything to go right.

No.

Plays in the same stance as a guitar, you can have it close to you like one, and you touch it. You can do scales, smooth seamless slide across the octaves (or phased slide by half-tone) and you can "transform" the sound in real time. This "sound transforming" feature is actually what is curious about it because makes possible playing completely different sounding notes using just your skill. No buttons, no sliders for effects or whatsoever. Using just your hands and a "simple" way of playing, despite it being WTF-like at first glance.

I'm sorry for being talking about it like it is so secretive and big shit but it is actually something valuable to me.

Edit: I had the idea when I've heard this song:

Since from the start till vocals kick in you have some violin like sound(?) waving as a background sound. Imagine an instrument were you control all that and the sound is smooth, or fragmented, or whatever. That's basically what I've came up with.

And I named it Smoothar/Flowtar
