I would have to say in response to the question the definitive answer would be no. The problem is two fold the first problem is the propensity by some to label every large budget exclusive PS3 game as cash in the bank. The second problem is our inability to compare lineups.

There is a propensity for PS3 loyalists to label any game with a large budget that happens to be exclusive to the PS3 as magnificent. The reality however is not so kind spending a lot of money, and having a known franchise does not equal a killer game. Every game listed so far could flop even Metal Gear or Final Fantasy could fail in epic fashion. These games are not money in the bank.

The second problem is the unknown future. We have very little guidance on what Nintendo, Microsoft, and third parties have planned for this year. We have a good idea of what we will see from Sony. They had to sell consumers on the future. Nobody else had to so they focused on what they had.

Nintendo and Microsoft's exclusive lineup for the second half of this year is a giant white blank on the calender. Hard to compare the lineups when two of the players are being very tight lipped. What I am seeing is Sony doesn't have the volume to make that a moot point let me explain. What happens if both Nintendo and Microsoft say in a month unveil a dozen strong exclusives of their own. Where does that put Sony.

From Nintendo I expect to see the following. Starfox, WaveRace, Pilotwings, Donkey Kong, Disaster, Zelda, and Pokemon. Just their first party efforts mind you. Yes we are due for another Zelda. Disaster supposedly is still in development. Pilotwings, WaveRace, and Starfox are mainstays of their consoles. Pokemon is a given money maker, and Donkey Kong is bound to be the next platformer. To me that is probably what Nintendo's answer to the Sony lineup will be along with Smash, and Mario Kart.

From Microsoft I expect a slew of new intellectual properties. Really its a big mystery what they have boiling. Hopefully they give us a hint hopefully soon. However I think its a safe bet we will see somewhere around ten strong exclusive titles. We just do not have a clue.

I think once Nintendo, and Microsoft start to parade what they have planned the Sony lineup probably will not look as strong as many think. Until then all we have is a third of the story, and some people trying to say thats all we need.
