It's library of innovative titles are still unmatched, I think. Every genre was robust, there was something for everyone, and it really brought gaming to a level it hadn't been in previous generations, not to mention introducing the most ergonomic controller since the SNES controller.

That and it's still my favorite console to date.

That's your opinion, as for me I've always disliked the PS controllers. The Sega Saturn controller (the 2nd version/ JP version) just destroys the original PS1 controller, IMO. The PS1 controller got even worse once they threw those 2 analog sticks on it.

Let's see the N64 came out late, had little to no 3rd party support, the games were expensive (as they weren't CDs)

Sega Saturn: launched at a higher price than the PS1, had a very botched launch (it's available now!), had a very complex system that was hard to make games on, 1st party support was excellent (sega games), but 3rd party support was spotty/hit or miss. (outside of Japan)

PS1: launched at a lower price than the Saturn, system was easy to program for/make games for, low cost games (CDs), excellent 3rd party support.

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"
