I once believed that the PS3 would never catch the 360. If Kinect fails to make the necessary splash though, PS3 could pass 360 sometime next year. Let's remember future price cuts for both though. I see a $50-$100 price cut in line for PS3 and 360 next year, so it could sway either way. Kinect is the determining factor for the foreseeable future, however.

I've been trying to show you the light for 2 years now!

Yeah, yeah.....I know! But I wanted to be realistic. For a time, PS3 wasn't able to keep up. You see times have changed!

As far as 2nd place goes for Sony, Kinect is the "final boss."

If Kinect doesn't significantly improve the sales performance (can't say whether it will or not), then PS3 is guaranteed to hold a 2nd place position.  The momentum that Sony has is permanent rather than temporary as shown since the Slim $299 PS3 was released.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
