@People saying its unfair PS3 gets to be sold in those countries

Its not unfair.... because SONY has made an effort to sell PS3 there.

Its as fair as PS3's high price compared to competitors is.

By unfair I simply mean the sales aren't truely a measure of popularity, but rather of availability.

Again, that's no fault of Sony's.

Didn't say it was. I'm just stating the reality of the situation.

using unfair terminology...

c'mon, if MS want sales in those regions all they have to do is market to them - it's their choice to focus on smaller territories or to focus money on less territories : for example the quoted $500 million for Kinect is surely going to be skewed heavily to US.

Tactics like timed exclusives and other crap (both Sony and MS) are a lot more unfair than making the effort to sell your wares in more countries IMHO - they just hurt the end consumer rather than reaching out to more consumers.

As you clearly don't like Sony why not at least take a more sensible tack, and point out that this shows how well MS has done in a smaller number of core territories such as US?  Just going "it's unfair" makes it seem like you're not really trying hard to spin stuff!

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
