Do not stubbornly say "That's what I believe!" Beliefs are subjective, but they aren't always correct. For example, I believe the sky is red. Never mind that it's blue, I believe it is red.

My belief is most certainly wrong, as is yours. Sony advertisements clearly show that they are not trying to target their existing audience, otherwise we wouldn't be seeing casual-friendly games or a wholesome family atmosphere. Nor would Sony develop Move without the intent of trying to draw in the casual userbase.

And of course there's a middle ground for Kinect. It could do moderately well, get Microsoft some profit, but be forgettable in the long term. I don't know why you want the success of Kinect to be strictly interpreted in black-and-white terms.
