Neo Geo is...when looked at the time of release and competition at that time (1991)...the most powerful home console ever released. By faaaar...
Sure it was pricey, but it had EVERYTHING you could technologically do at the time. Hardware rotation, scaling, shitload of spites on screen and more sound memory per cartrige than some Snes and genesis were in size.
Neo geo console adjusted for 2010 would be able to do games like Uncharted 2 in 1080p in 3D at the same time...and it would cost 1000 dollars.
Conicidentaly, it is one of the very few home consoles, available in North America what I've never owned. Its a shame they didn't make the CD-Rom unit faster as it had potential to do well.
