Conservatives politicains are really good business men, which is why they are not going anywhere anytime near soon. Many companies donate to get them elected for the tax cuts that "will create jobs." This is the biggest problem I have with conservatives. When tax cuts are passed for businesses thay do not have to create new jobs and the conservatives who gave it to them cannot force them to (free market remember?).I also have a probelm with the heavy emphasis on creating new jobs and not increasing wages. Also, we saw early this year as companies were reporting record profits as they laid off 1000 people a month. The government has no power to control this becasue its a free market yet republicans were outraged (and free market is their pride). I think its important I state here I support our free market 100% before I get called a commie.
When jobs ARE created they are usually at the low end of the company, new machinary needs new workers to stand around and work for 8hours, where (illegal) immigrants tend to get hire. Most of the jobs lost in the last two years have been middle/high class jobs so that is why "immigrants taking our jobs" gets attention again. These white people want the jobs when they need it but WHO will do these hard jobs no one wants to do before those recessions come around every 5 years?
Most republican officals know that our country is in constant need of immigrants as low class jobs are always on demand. As white people climb up the financial ladder they need replacing. As a consequence white people are producing less babies while those at the bottom are producing more. I think it was reported this year or last year as the first year that more non-white babies were born. This is what worries the white conservatives, they will soon be the minority and there is nothing they can do unless they start breeding like bunnies.
