You really do need to get further into Vanquish. There's a double boss fight in 2-3 or 2-5 that is really eye-explodingly awesome.

I know...I've been all over the place timewise lately. My gf is playing my xbox more than me...

From what I've played, I loved it. Game gets to the point fast and stays there...
