Bankrupt doesn't mean the company will disappear. They are going to same direction as Netflix and Redbox.

how can they come in now and compete against Redbox, netflix, PSN, xblm and more ISP and electronic companies all offering digital distribution of movies. they came too late and technology got the better of them, so they must find a way to do a Kodak or they will disappear   

You don't need to be number one to make money.

Also, is alternatives in the market such a bad thing? It forces Redbox and Netflix to be more competitive.

well blockbuster has lost majority of there consumers to these other companies and i dont think they are just going to come back. also i named like a heap more. I live in Aus and we dont have redbox or netflix but we have PSN, XBLM, bigpond movies, tivo, LG one and much much more. 

There is just too many companies in an over saturated market and majority of them do other things and have movie rentals as a supplement.

Blockbuster is finished unless they do a Kodak
