I would have to respond "Other" and nominate Yoshio Sakamoto. Kotick and the other 2 businessmen are excuseable because they are coming at it from the business side and rightfully could care less about what some lone or group of forumgoers say about them because they are not the one's creating the profits and taking the heat. Thompson is a nutcase and no nutcase should be given one iota of attention because that is what all nutcases are after. Pachter is an analyst and every analyst is wrong at some point, some analyst more than others.

I hate Yoshio Sakamoto the most in gaming and I think he should do the right thing in owning up to destroying the Metroid franchise at his retirement ceremony. Sakamoto is past his prime, at a stage in game development where he creates games for himself, and has been upstaged in his own creation (Metroid series) by the man who recruited him, Shigeru Miyamoto.

I reserve future nominations for Hideo Kojima and Peter Molyneux. Kojima is the epitome of a game developer who should be a movie director. Every single Metal Gear Solid game after MGS1 has had an increase in the length of cutscenes. By the time MGS5 comes about, I will not be surprised if it is a 4 hour long cutscene punctuated by occasional button presses to continue onto the next scene.

Molyneux is third on the hate list because of his dastardly promotional skills. Molyneux gives way too many interviews while a game is in development leading people like me to want his game, only to find out that it is not half as good as he promoted it be when it is released and reviewed. Furthermore, Molyneux like Sakamoto and Kojima is well past his prime. He needs to retire as a head developer and let the young lions take over the pride before the pride dies off completely due to the old lions stubbornly hanging onto their power for ego purposes.
