I'm seriously disappointed with the 3DS launch games. As a gaming device id have to wait till year 2 probably before it became worth the purchase. At least with PSP2 there is a chance it would be worth buying as a multi-media device. As it is both devices might get replaced by my _cell phone_ instead.
I am a firm believer that '3D' is a useless feature that doesn't add much to the gaming experience.

The 3D feature will help the device sell. It's probably the only thing that will help it stand out enough to sell as a $300 portable.
Of course if you don't care about that feature, then that's like buying a current 3D HDTV and no glasses. Kind of a waste since the 3D feature is what makes it expensive.
As for the whole launch catalog issue; not really a big deal since you're probably not going to be able to even find one at retail price anyway for the first 6-12 months at minimum.

Maybe, but ultimately the games will make or break that device. I think 3D will quickly become blasé. It's just the illusion of more 'depth'.
Other than that, I could easily get one, I just wouldn't want one.

3DS getting all these "hardcore" titles aren't interesting to me at all.
However, I'll get a PSP2 without knowing the specs day 1 due to its awesome unknown capabilities, even if it has no games.
The games library will make or break the console and the 3DS is already broken with its small launch line-up.
