I've played the beginning sequence of the game, and I can already tell that this stomps up and down on Fable II, which is really saying something because I love that game. The fact that I sat for about a minute mulling over the first major decision of the game I hope is a testament to what the decisions you make in this game are like.

To answer your last question though, I'll add that the Gametrailers review starts off with something to the effect of "Fable is a series notorious for its hype and broken consequences. By the third entry in the series now, we've all gotten passed that." Truth be told, I don't think a lot of reviewers have gotten passed that, and I think a lot of them resent this series for whatever they feel are broken promises from past games, and they completely miss the boat on what makes the game special, and that's the world of Albion. I respect BioWare and Bethesda immensely, but Lionhead beats them in terms of creating a living, breathing world that reacts to your actions, and there's a lot that should be said for this, but isn't.

That's about all I've got to say for it right now. I haven't gotten very far and plan on going very slowly doing all side quests and opening all chests on the Road to Rule. I haven't touched co-op yet, and I can't wait to do so!

Dude I think you hit the nail on the head with that statement.

Edit: judging by the poll looks like 3 people have actually played Fable 3 and 2 people have not touched it.
