"Camping" is a sound military strategy.  In reality, holding key strategic points is key to winning a battle.  To hold these points, you camp.  If you want to be able to also control the battlefield, you suppress and eliminate opponents from key spots also.  Sniping is a key part to.  You want to kill an enemy before you find you, from places they can't find you.  Those who don't like this should play a game like Serious Sam single player (aka, Smash TV in 3D).  If camping is too much of an issue, then the map wasn't designed right, or the weapons aren't balanced.

I am sorry, running around like a headless chicken, relying on hand-eye coordination is NOT strategy.  Ok, you can adopt it as a strategy, but it isn't a sound one.
