Maybe now I'd agree but as time goes, energy saving + lcd quality increases. I think pretty soon the difference will be even more minimal. As of now LCD has a power consumption and the fact that they operate silently as an advantage Plasma has large sizes and more color support as it's advantage Each of these upsides are becoming more and more negligable. At a point LCD's could only manage 75% of the color of a tube or plasma TV now it's more like 95% on a good LCD. At the same time Plasmas used to use twice the energy they do these days(they still use a bit more than a tube TV) Seems with each generation the differences between the two mediums is becoming less and less..
