I agree that music in general is getting worse. I mean that's not to say that there isn't any good music out there but I think that there have been some really bad trends.
I especially have a hatred of auto-tuning in songs. Once upon a time it was only used in dance music which is fine for that genre. Unfortunately now though it has made its way into mainstream songs. One of the best examples is Kesha who has been successful while not having to even use her natural voice which I fear will spawn more and more talentless wonders.
I am continually now being forced to go back to my old school collection in order to enjoy music. Hopefully this is just a short term trend and things will get better.
