What if you buy a CD on 1st day of release, copy it, then re-sell it on ebay same day. Apparently it is also illegal to sell an MP3 player with MP3s on even if you legally bought them. http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2006/02/13/riaa_ipod_warning/ A few months ago on BBC news was an article about a guy that was selling every UK number 1 ever made, from old vinyl to mp3s he had paid for on his ipod. A big auction house was selling his collection and it was expected to fetch several thousand pounds. Just to be awkward I decided to email the auction house and the BPI (The BPI represents the UK recorded music industry) to inform them that their auction was illegal because of the ipod with mp3s / that an illegal auction was taking place. http://news.bbc.co.uk/player/nol/newsid_5220000/newsid_5224600/5224646.stm? Neither side emailed me back but the auction still went ahead...wonder why!!
