Yes.

Trust me, it happens to us all. I remember my parents saying exactly the same thing in the 80s. And their parents told them the same thing in the 50s and 60s. Pop music all sounds the same, and it doesn't sound like something the older peeps think is good.

Indeed. We quite literally have seen it all, and listened to it all, before. But, for those whippersnappers (which we were not so long ago, falling for the same tricks), it's the first time around so feels fresh and new. Pop is just a happy recycling for the kids and the nostalgic.
