But burnin is the main disadvantage of plasma, thus why they're not the best suited for games.
Anyway, if you bought the TV for HD, that means you want quality.
Quality means that you will have to calibrate your TV, as it's in the worst settings when you receive it.
Most of the time, the level of white and of black (I don't remember which one is erroneously called brightness or contrast, they are nothing like that though) have to be put way down.
The very first step is to put the light at the minimum level usually.
If you don't have any calibrating material (Avia media, probe, ...), you can go look at AVS forums, some people can give you advice, and even a starting setting for a perfect image (I don't remember the name of the standard used).
