Sorry, but it's extremely convent implementation to get around the practice of screwing over developers with used game market. It also sounds like a reward to those who don't know any better. So yeah. It will take off. All games sooner or later will be online. Get over it. Plus it's better than other forms of DRM.
I keep on saying the best way to beat piracy and used game market is not protection. It is instead it is found in giving and not taking. They are giving more to those who buy the game. Of course there is the perspective that the content should have been it originally. I also believe that developers will abuse this significantly, but give it time as the entire system matures. Then no one will care and it will be the norm.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
