I'd have to go with Halo 3...

How do you say....... 'Halo 2 with everything shining way too brightly?'

Edit: I chose the game cuzz it was the biggest failure of the Microsoft hyping machine i've ever seen!...

The game plays just like Halo 2 (which was suckfest too btw) and Halo has been passed by several other FPS franchises that have grown and become better then Halo... Halo 1 defined console FPS and Halo 3 just doesn't cut it for me! It's all just people who loved Halo 1 and 2, 13 year old kids who think they are cool if they own Halo and people who buy everything that's being advertised much who bought this game (that's a lot of American's )...

Failure of hype means failure to sell, not failure to impress. the point of hype is to sell, so our subjective opinions on the game's quality has nothing to do with hype. Since the game's launch gave Microsoft's game division it's first profitable quarter ever (or first in years), it cannot be a failure of hype.

Of course this thread is about what we think is a disappointment, but hype is not about that.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
