All-time favorites:
- Tom & Jerry shorts (the brilliant ones directed by Hanna-Barbera and Chuck Jones, not the imo terrible ones directed by Gene Deitch)
- Disney shorts (especially the ones with Donald)
Just two examples (with the hilarious side characters Nibbles and Chip 'n Dale) of many T&J and Disney shorts I love:
The brilliant use of music in early Disney, MGM and Warner Bros. cartoons is also still unmatched today imo.
