The USA does a lot of shady stuff... any "power" country does, lots of Europeon countries do too, it's just not mentioned as much because they aren't as poweful at the moment. I'm not sure i'd call this one of them. You aren't going to be able to effect countries outside of your own without such things. If you want to nationbuild and get out a murderous dictator, you can't be surprised that the people themselves are going to be a bit bloodthirsty and brutal since, you know they've had to live so long under similar circumstances. What could the US do realistically? Threaten to take their ball away and go home leaving the country worse off then it was when there is a chance for democratic stability and hopefully work towards western ideals? It's why nationbuilding is rarely worth it though. Even the guys you put in power aren't going to see eye to eye with you... and there is no gurantee they will end up with the same ideals in the end. |

but politics aside i just find it funny that people poll the most hated country,are their people standing on street corners around the world asking which country you hate the most or do the representatives in the united nations vote every month
