Are this quotes when muhammad was in mekka or when he was in medina?

if they are from mekka, they dont count and you sure know why

i dont believe your taqqya ;)

The Qur'an is the Qur'an. It doesn't matter where he received his visions. The Qur'an was created over a long period of time and was always relavent to what was happening in the community at that time.

In the beginning in Mekkah it was simply general religious thoughts and issues surrounding the injustices of that community, such as equality of women, slaves, orphans, etc. After the migration to Medinah it was concerning the make up of the new purely Muslim community, its relationship to the Jewish people who were also there and predominitely how to defend yourself against the continued attacks from the pagan Mekkans who felt they (the Muslims) were a threat to Mekkahs dominance and entire financial structure. So, yes its only natural that the latter had more to do with war as war was prevalent.

Taqqya is a horrible action that is not condoned in the Qur'an as you should never fear your religious identity. It is a Hadith issue and not a teaching of the Qur'an, in fact it goes against the very verse I quoted previously. Also, it means to hide your faith which I certainly am not doing in this thread or any thread I've discussed Islam previously.

I simply have read the Qur'an (as well as numerous other religious works) multiple times as well as studied extensive Middle Eastern and overall religious history. I don't blindly follow anyone without reading the source myself and discerning my own opinion. You simply can't accept anything but the twisted logic of biased sources and then use extreamists points of view to support your ideas. Ignoring the fact that these views are contradictory to a great portion of the Qur'an and each and every single verse utilized for these actions is clearly taken out of context of the rest of the Qur'an and the verses just above/below it.
