Now you that have no idea of Kinect we can begin, you wonder what your are watching you probably did not pick up the Xbox reference because it happened right at the beginning. Why are all these people jumping around and laughing and what are they looking at. The camera slowly turns round to reveal the games that they are playing. Job done pack up lets go home. Its called marketing people and guess what people do not actually want to see gameplay during a 2 minute trailer. Or at least the marketing types do not want you to. They want to stimulate your senses or get curious and that is what they are doing with the advert and actually they do a damn good job. That said some games especially action packed games do lend themselves to being shown, games such as GTA work but casual games not so well. I could of told you it was a Kinect advert the second the guy sat down it just looked like previous adverts but the average joe schmo will have no idea. I can also now spot a Wii ad before it even starts. |
