Why not 8?

Nothing angers me more than odd numbers.

I think its stuck at 7 due to Bluetooth technology at the time.

Afaik, if there were 8 or more the connection became unstable and couldn't be used properly.

Although I could be wrong.

This limitation sounds strange because it seems that the Wii can actually have 8 controls synchronized at the same time (Just Dance 2 has local multiplayer mode for 8 people). I wonder how Nintendo is doing it.

maybe its because of the controller led indicators, because there are only 4 leds it would be impossible to indicate the 8th controller, i thought they could have just have the fourth indicator blinking when an eighth controller is connected but people might mistake it for the controller needing charging..... thats my theory

There's four lights though and we know they can have all of them light up simotaneously. If the hardware was there at the time I the lights wouldn't stop SONY for having up to ten players. lights on. 4 3 2 1 lights on equals the tenth players.
