Yeah.  It sucks.  I've been hearing nothing but good things from the beta (even people who didn't really like KZ2 have been enjoying it a lot), but day one DLC is just going to start splitting the userbase early.

Plus, if it's really available day one, why they hell isn't it part of the game, adding to the total map count??

That's the part that bugs me... when i first heard about the concept of DLC I thought of developers supporting their games with content they actually make AFTER the game releases... If this is something exclusive to the premium buyers, I'm cool with that I guess. Can somewhat understand but if it really is paid for DLC, getting it with the premium editions just feels like buying the game and buying the DLC right away to me... which just doesn't feel right.

Anyway, guess I'll be buying the middle ground for the extra maps straight away and what ever other bonus it comes with. Unless those goggles are really impressive [I'm assuming they'll only be with the most expensive edition].
