The story?  God no, FFXI easily wins in regards to story, but that is very different than quests.

In general quests structure (as in the fetch me 6 sticks type quests), WoW wins.  In the overall story and how it's told to the player, FFXI wins.

Even the story in the basic quests trumps WoW.

Wow has a  rubbish story, but theres a difference between how a questing system works and how good that story is.
