Just want to expand on one thing. The opposite of what Pachter had thought would happen is going to happen. We have started seeing it now with PSN Plus. Rather than XBL going free because of PSN and Wii Online, PSN has begun offering a for pay service. I expect next Gen that all 3 will be offering extensive online services and all three will be for pay for even online play. Sony found out the hard way that trying to support such an extensive network is way too costly. It's because of PSN that the Networked Devices devision has seen such huge losses the last few quarters even with PS3 sales up so much and costs of production down so much.
