On the personal opinion side, I really don't care who outsells who, but I do know that I can name 15 FPS games I would rather play than any COD. And Medal of Honor isn't on that list... Bungie will return to make Halo 4. Mark my words.
Halo 3 was supposed to be the last ever Halo game and well we have seen Halo 3: ODST and Halo Reach released two and three years after the launch of Halo 3. Last Halo game ever is a marketing gimmick to sell more copies of the game.
